The selection of control mode of high voltage circuit breaker is related to the control mode of substation, the scale of substation and other factors. The control mode of ZW32 high voltage circuit breaker varies with the control mode and scale of substation. According to the working voltage of the control circuit, the control mode of the circuit breaker can be divided into strong current control and weak current control. According to the operation mode, it can be divided into one-to-one control and line selection control. The so-called strong current control means that the working voltage of the whole control circuit is DC 110V or 220V from the control equipment issued the operation command to the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker. According to the control location, it is divided into centralized control and local control; According to the tripping and closing circuit monitoring, it is divided into light monitoring and sound monitoring; According to wiring of the control circuit , it is divided into the non corresponding wiring with fixed position of  control switch and the wiring with automatic reset of the contact of the control switch.

The working voltage of the control circuit of ZW32 high voltage circuit breaker is divided into weak current and strong current. The working voltage of the control equipment issuing the operation command is weak current, generally 48V. After the command is issued, the weak current command signal is converted into strong current signal through the intermediate strong and weak current conversion link and sent to the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker. The circuit structure between the intermediate conversion link and the circuit breaker is the same as that of strong current control. The command signal transmission distance of this mode is close, and the operating power of the circuit breaker is relatively large, it is not suitable for 220-500kV substation. The wiring of weak current line selection control is complex and there are many operation steps, so its reliability is difficult to ensure. Weak current line selection control is not recommended for the circuit breaker of 220-500kV substation.

 The common feature of weak current control is that due to the use of miniaturized weak current control equipment is adopted on the control panel, there are many control circuits that can be arranged per unit area on the control panel. In the case of the same number of controlled objects, compared with strong current control, it can reduce the area of control panel and facilitate the monitoring and operation of operators; The construction area of the main control room is reduced and the civil engineering investment is reduced. This is the main advantage of weak current control.

Strong current control is divided into strong current one-to-one direct control and strong current line selection control. The latter is rarely used in practical engineering. Strong current one-to-one direct control mode has the advantages of simple control circuit, single operating power supply voltage, easy mastery by operators, convenient maintenance and high reliability, it is a main control mode used in various substations put into operation in China. For strong current control, because of the working voltage of control equipment is relatively high, in order to meet the requirements of insulation distance, the volume of control equipment, terminal block and other equipment is relatively large, but the number of control circuits that can be arranged per unit area on the control panel is small. This not only increases the area of the main control room and increases the cost of civil engineering, at the same time, it is not conducive to normal monitoring and operation due to the large monitoring surface. At present, the control mode of ZW32 high voltage circuit breaker is: one-to-one direct control strong current, conventional control panel is not set in the station, through independent measurement and control device control.
